I thought that I Was meant to see Some meaning but What angry god meant it for me? I can't make sense There's no pretense This thing's just what it is Planet immense No comprehension Mind tearing open (Spoken) The stars rent asunder Energy consumed to abominate All the things we thought would happen We couldn’t prepare ourselves for this I thought that I Could understand But there's no language Just wordless demands I can't make sense On the offense It's in my mind Semantics so dense Spirit through eyes Stolen from time (Spoken) They brought with them The destruction of society Now we run from place to place Trying to hide from their all-seeing eyes Through fragile boundaries I heed the call Only to find nothing at all If a message it was ever meant to be It was. Not. Fucking. Meant. For. Me. I wandered here the great one's call to answer But all I overheard was otherworldly anger If a call it was ever meant to be It was. Not. Fucking. Meant. For. Me.

Lost in this place I feel There’s something out there Waiting for me Waiting for me That I can not see A continuous strain To find my way again It’s time for a change Or is this the end The path goes on and on and on If memory serves Obscured by the clouds The view for me is blurred A siren’s call From depths unheard Carries me It Carries me A siren’s call From depths unheard Carries me It Carries me

Wasting My Time Crawling through here Waiting For my Conscience to clear The sky is changing Along with the fear Their eyes are blazing Seen through the mirror Wasting My Time Crawling through here Waiting For my Conscience to clear The ground is caving In upon itself It’s not worth saving If I’m by myself

Hey you Come around this place again Please Hanging By yourself on the clouds The breeze Going fast now Mind’s eyes closing Fading Fading Hey you You’ve occupied the space inside my head For some time Who can Blame you for leaving now My dear Going fast now The mind’s eyes closing Fading Fading

Obelus 03:43
A permutation on the flaws of nature Crawling from the sea on it’s own two legs A development destined to occur When its grown too large There’s no space left in the depths of the ocean Its consumed with the struggles of life The strength of one lies in destruction of many A chance given to few TO THE FEW It drags its body slowly up on to the shore Lungs burning as it sucks in air Legs collapse with the weight of gravity Falling it dies Then slowly a heartbeat shakes it From it’s slumber of death eternal Lift an eye up to the heavens It’s mind explodes OUR MIND EXPLODES The Old One’s already here Throughout time and space Just waiting to reign again Through absence of their grace THEIR GRACE The signs were always written We could never read Come now to our judgement Cut off at the knees The Old One’s already here Throughout time and space Just waiting to reign again Through absence of their grace

Peering In 04:13
Creeping in the shadow Making their own hallow Fading in from nothing Stealing while we’re running Unseen eyes glare No limitations So heed the call Peering In They see it all Unseen eyes stare Unencumbered Unrestrained Our loss Their world to gain Always present watching Casting lots and waiting For when the time comes They stand back and block the sun Unseen eyes glare No limitations So heed the call Peering In They see it all Unseen eyes stare Unencumbered Unrestrained Our loss Their world to gain Back again Nothing lost Seas of time And space were crossed To find us huddled Amidst the cold Our destruction The ones of old

Dying Light 04:26
Falling we find ourselves at the end of a rope A bond made from the memories we share Tangled, their icy fingers connect with our skin And they push us to our doom within their lair Darkness Falling Eyes cast down Emptied out Darkness Falling Now Betrayed by our ties to those we love Exposing us to the pain of life gone dim We reach for any hand to pull us up And instead we pull them down with us Darkness Falling Eyes cast down Emptied out Darkness Falling Now Dying Light Their eyes look upon us with malevolence unknown Caring not whether we share the air they breathe We, nothing but waste of life within their sphere Their shadow cast, a destruction they’ll soon achieve Darkness Falling Eyes cast down Emptied out Darkness Falling Now Dying Light

about

In 2020, Reed Reimer created Cthulhu Dreamt to process and deal with the loss of his daughter at child birth. Conceived of as a multimedia project that would help to tell the complete story, Liminality includes a liner notes book with an original short story in journal form of a character from the universe.

Where the first album included a story from the perspective of Maya, a mother and scientist, doing everything in their power to reunite with the child they lost, the journal for the second album is the story from Alya, who is Maya's child, perspective in the alternate universe where they've been reunited with their mother.

The overall project includes a massive universe and backstory set in a near future where scientists unwittingly create the conditions to raise Cthulhu and R'Lyeh from their watery tomb, plunging the world into the possible end of the human race.
